Epoxy and (BMI) adhesives

HexBond® Film Adhesives 

Epoxy and (BMI) adhesives are supplied in film forms packaged rolls. Films adhesives require high temperatures (120°C/180°C) and pressure to cure. These high-performance structural adhesives are ideal for both metal and composite bonding as well as sandwich assemblies. They prove to be reliable, easy to use (handling, lay-up and  kitting) in workshops for large parts manufacturing for primary and secondary structures. Hexcel proposes long-established references for different features: high service temperature, tailored products for composite bonding, increased toughness combined with shear performance. 
Foaming adhesives

HexBond® Foaming Adhesive Films 

Foaming adhesives, also referred as core splices, are supplied in high areal-weight sheets. These adhesives expand when cured at high temperatures (120°C/180°C) making it ideal for filling gap empty space or splicing honeycombs patchwork together. Hexcel foaming adhesive range provides flexible solutions in terms of process temperature as well as expansion ratio of 120-220 %. 
 HexBond® primer  

HexBond® Primers 

Each HexBond® primer has been formulated to ensure the maximum possible performance is achieved from the corresponding HexBond® film adhesive. HexBond® primers protect pretreated metal surfaces prior to bonding and ensure maximum bond durability. All HexBond® primers are free of chromium compounds.
HexBond® pastes adhesives

HexBond® Paste Adhesives 

HexBond® pastes adhesives are bi-components bulk resin systems supplied in kits (weighing and hand-mixing) or in cartridges for ease of use (no need of hand-mixing, adhesive dispensed with relevant gun). Pastes adhesives are primarily used for complex geometries for non-structural applications as they tend to fill all the gaps, therefore providing materials continuity.   
Hexcel range provides versatile solutions depending on the end-applications: shimming, MRO, potting/densification, edging, brackets and inserts bonding, impregnation.   
Hexcel portfolio provides a comprehensive range to address all users’ needs: from low to highly viscous adhesives, tolerance to substrate or surface preparation, balance of high peel and  high shear performance, low density, service temperature up to 230°C.
