Hexcel continues to grow and strengthen its position in Russia and the Central-Eastern European region following the opening on 1st June 2011 of a new sales office in Moscow, Russia.

Gerard Chekherdemian, Hexcel’s Sales Director for Asia Pacific and Russia commented: “The growth of high performance composite applications and technologies within Russian aerospace programs is increasing at a rapid pace, in particular with the new programs such as Tupolev 204 SM, Sukhoi’s Superjet 100, MS-21. Opening an office in Moscow will provide an even more efficient service to customers in the Region.”

Hexcel is a major supplier of composite materials for Russian commercial aerospace programs supporting customers with HexTow® carbon fibres, HexPly® carbon fibre/epoxy prepregs and HexWeb® honeycomb materials, Redux® adhesives, HexForce® reinforcements and engineered core Products.

As a further commitment to customers in Russia Hexcel is exhibiting at the Moscow Air Show, MAKS, taking place in Zukovsky from August 16th to 21st.
